How to find active volcanoes in New Zealand
The active volcanos map is a map of active volcanism in New England and features volcanoes that have recently erupted, are on the verge of erupting, or are on a short list of active volcano.
The map is created by the National Geographic Society, which provides the data for the interactive volcanoes feature.
The data is compiled by geologists who have been monitoring active volcanists for decades.
In New Zealand, active volcanics are marked with an asterisk.
The map shows active volcanisms in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, Vermont, North Carolina, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota, and Michigan.
The state of Rhode Island and the state of Maryland are in the Northern Hemisphere.
